Someone recently deleted a lot of files by accident - the same day they were created so they had to be recovered from the trash. I used 2 different programs to do that - GetDataBack and Ontrack. All files were corrupt - Excel Recovery Tool 2.0 was only able to recover 1 out of 75 files - very disappointing.

sadly, it does nothing for corrupted formatting so I ended up saving the file as comma delimited text then creating an entirely new spreadsheet from it to reduce the file size from 15263kb to 57kb

It did not recover my .xls file. I used a hex editor and was able to retrieve some data. Thanks anyway.

15 kb file is too less for trial

I have installed the software , however I was not able to recover the Excel file that got currupted. I am not sure if you could please help me on this or if you have another tool to recver the Excel file.ThanksSuleiman

Recover what? This program did not help me at all. It returned a blank page with nothing in it. Even when opening the file in notepad, I could plainly see I had data left in there; none of it was recovered.

Kernel Excel Repair I try my best to recover through given software but most of column are left without retrieving data. So I don't think that this is a very good software. The data I retrive after useing that softerware is not use able because it does not retrive all colums data. So imporove your product please. Umer

I downloaded the "Free" trial version to see if the program could recover the content of my Excel file. After going through the process, it would not let me see if the file contents were properly recovered before having to pay the fee. Not worth the cost to see that the content may not have been properly recovered so I discontinued and looked for another solution. Very disappointed

Saved me 6 hours work What I needed was a quick fix in order te recover 6 hours of work on an excel sheet which had been corrupted. I tried the demo and found it would do the job. So I bought their product since it would save me hours of retyping at a hefty hourly rate. The repair worked and I am glad to say all my information was recovered. As far as I am concerned it was worth the investment.

Don`t work when things are really bad Really don't.Whe damage an excel file because two users try to update at the same time. Beleive it or not, they do it, excel don't complaint about that.This program can't recover this file

Test strings not recovered. Did simply not work - some figures are back and have to be reformatted, e.g. in order to appaer as calendar dates, but all text strings seem to be completely lost as well as all names of work sheets.

Not understand how the program works. I deleted it. So far only inform me about the operation.

The product works as advertised and is able to repair damaged excel documents. All tabs, all colors and all formatting is preserved.
